Background

INVITENDER is founded and run by a team of expatriate and Thai project engineers and managers who have combined several decades experience in the acquisition and execution of EPC projects in Thailand.

Throughout the years, we have gathered hands-on technical experience in engineering, technical procurement, installation, commissioning and start-up, as well as commercial experience in cost calculations, bid preparations, order acquisition, contract management, cost control and overall project planning.

Objective

From the buyer perspective, the INVITENDER concept resulted from often time-intensive and frustrating experiences in finding the right suppliers in technically sophisticated turn-key projects and in finding contact details of specified suppliers and brands.

From the seller perspective, the INVITENDER concept resulted from often accordingly time-intensive and frustrating experiences in finding and maximizing sales leads and customers for specialized products and systems.

Market Opportunity

Thailand has visibly recovered from the 1997 Asian economic crisis and has experienced a vivid GDP growth from only 1.9% in 2001, to a strong increase of 5.2% in 2002 and a forecast of 6% in 2003. The Thai industrial import procurement market had a volume of Euro 52 billion in 2002, with 65% accounting to capital goods and 35% to intermediate products & raw materials. In ASEAN, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam are the strongest growing economies. Within these three, Thailand is generally renowned for being the frontrunner in respect to stable and progressive economic policies and a consistent overall political system. In 2003, Thailand completely repaid the IMF loan taken during the Asian financial crisis and since 2000 shows a healthy current account surplus.
